0845 number on your website you will need to make changes. This law was introduced by the `Consumer contracts regulations’ which was for the customers benefit to prevent customers from paying extra without knowing the costs.
How will this affect my website?
As from July the 1st websites have to display the call costs next to 0845 numbers meaning that calls cost roughly 7p per minute plus the network access charge. As a result this will enable users and viewers to know the cost of calling the number will be extra 7p a minute plus their normal call costs.
By making this message clear, site visitors will be aware and less people will complain because they have been warned about the forthcoming charges.
With this in mind and to be compliant with the new law you will need to add this information next to all instances of 0845 numbers on your website.
